We love our community and are proud to call Perham home. Giving back has always been a priority for the Nelsons and we continue to share that vision today. A portion of every KLN Family Brands purchase is put back into the community. We would like to say Thank You for helping us make that happen.

Our People

KLN Care was created because health and wellness is important to owners Kenny and Charlie Nelson.

KLN Care's goal is to provide opportunities for healthy behaviors inside and outside the work environment by encouraging healthy eating, physical activity and educational support for their overall health.

At each of our locations, there is a wellness committee that helps to identify their needs to promote wellness at their specific location and to provide opportunities to help employees understand and learn the benefits of leading a healthier lifestyle. Wellness coaching, personal training and walking groups are a few of the opportunities made available to all employees.

We Value Education

We value education. We give away over 20 scholarships each year to local high school seniors to help further their education. We are a proud sponsor of our local high school and their art, academic and athletic programs.

Quality & Safety

Food safety and quality are very important to KLN Family Brands; after all, our own families eat our products. We are committed to producing safe, high quality snacks, candies and pet foods. All of our ingredients come from suppliers and farmers that meet our strict guidelines. KLN is made up of two divisions; Kenny’s Candy & Confections and Tuffy’s Pet Foods. Each facility has their own dedicated team of quality control technicians who sample and test the products to make sure each batch meets our specifications. The quality control managers are experts in their field, with over 100 years of combined experience.

All that experience comes in handy when keeping on top of customer and regulatory requirements. Each KLN Family Brands facility is inspected and audited several times a year in order to keep up with certifications like organic, gluten free and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), along with federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
