You may participate in KLN's Wellness Program and earn credits to help reduce your health insurance premium. When you reach a biomarker goal and you complete two wellness options(see below), you earn $10.00 credit toward your health plan contribution. The 2015 biomarker goals are:

When you sign up for a membership to the Perham Area Community Center (PACC), KLN will deduct your membership fees through payroll deduction. In addition, we pay:
If you have a spouse on KLN's health plan and you both go to the PACC at least eight times a month, you will get $20.00 on your check the next month. Single, couple, and family plans are available.
KLN offers a voluntary dental plan from Delta Dental of Minnesota. It provides comprehensive coverage for most dental services. You pay 100% of the premium if you enroll.
KLN offers a 401(k) retirement savings plan through Minnesota Life-Securian for eligible employees age 18 and older and who have worked for us for at least 1,000 hours.Your Contributions
You may elect to defer some of your compensation and contribute up to the IRS maximum limits for 2017. Choose to defer a percentage of your income each pay period. Your contributions are 100% vested.Our Contributions For You
At our discretion, KLN may make a matching contribution to your 401(k) if you are also contributing. The match may be 50% of the first 6% of your deferred compensation up to $1,500/year.
KLN Enterprises, Inc. has a profit sharing plan for all eligible employees (all employees who have been employed at their current company – Kenny’s Candy, Nutheads, and Tuffy’s Pet Foods for a year during the measured time frame.)
Eligible employees will receive a percentage of the net plant income based upon the individuals percentage of gross wages divided by the total gross wages of all employees in the plan. Payouts will be made approximately 30 days after the end of periods 4, 7 , 10, and 13. To qualify for inclusion in any of the payouts, you must be actively employed during the measured time frame.
Vacation time off with pay is available to full-time active employees to provide opportunities for rest, relaxation, and personal pursuits.
Each week an employee is actively employed they will earn vacation. Employees will accrue vacation based on the length of his or her employment. The schedule is as follows:
Upon hire to the start of your 2nd anniversary employees will accrue .7695 hours a week.(40 hours maximum a year)
At the start of the your 2nd anniversary till the beginning of your 7th anniversary employees will be accrue 1.5385 hours a week.(80 hours maximum a year)
At the start of your 7th anniversary till the beginning of your 14th anniversary employees will earn 2.308 hours a week. (120 hours maximum a year)
At the start of the 14th anniversary employee will earn 3.077 hours a week. (160 hours maximum a year)
Employees will be able to accrue up to 40 hours more than their maximum accrual rate based on their years of service. Once maximum accrual plus 40 hours is reached employees will stop accruing until their accrual falls below their maximum accrual plus 40 hours. For fiscal year 2013, there will be an unlimited amount of vacation accruals an employee can earn.
The length of eligible service is calculated on the basis of a “benefit year”. This is the 12-month period that starts when the employee begins full-time employment with our company.
An employee will accrue vacation time during an approved family medical leave of absence.
Paid vacation time can be used in minimum increments of four hours. To take vacation, employees should request advance approval from their supervisors. Requests will be reviewed based on a number of factors, including business needs and staffing requirements.
Vacation time off is paid at the employee’s base pay rate at the time of vacation. It does not include overtime or any special forms of compensation such as incentives, commissions, bonuses, or shift differentials.
